French Vogue New Edito- in-Chief

EMMANUELLE ALT has been unveiled as French Vogue's new editor-in-chief. She will replace Carine Roitfeld, who held the position for 10 years, and will begin her new role on February 1. Alt has worked as fashion director under Roitfeld for the duration of her editorship. She began her career in 1990 at Elle - becoming fashion director aged 20 - before undertaking the same role at Mixte, where she worked until 2000.

"It is a great honour for me, and also a great pleasure, to arrive at the head of Vogue Paris which I know so well," Alt said today. "By working with such a talented team, I am confident of developing the incredible potential of the magazine."
