Shopping tip of the day

Shopping the Seasons

You need to know the best times of year to get different items on sale. In fashion August is the best time for swimwear bargains and the Spring/Summer items that will carry on though to Autum/Winter or even to next year. Be savy and keep and eye out on good quality basics in the sales too. January will net you great sale prices on coats, knits and jackets but again keep and eye out for those great staple basics that you can really pick up for a bargain.

When it comes to lifestyle, I always get my Christmas decorations in the January sales. They are usually marked down up the 75% and this way there is no panic in December when all the angels for on top of the tree have been sold out! And again keep your eyes out for real bargains, allot of stores will put out their small breakages items which they sell for 75%, which usually can easily be fixed.

Shopping for vintage and second hand in the sales is not the easiest. Your best bet would be to go to you favorite vintage stores and check if they do one. But come to think about it, in vintage stores it is allot easier to haggle for the price and if you get to know the owners of the store well the possibilities of getting a discount will be bigger. More on vintage shopping next time though....
