Simplicity wins it at the Golden Globes

The best-dressed celebrities at Sunday's Golden Globes got the message that simpler is almost always better when it comes to red carpet dressing. Simple also happens to be what's new in fashion now, with "minimalism" being the watchword for the last two runway seasons. There was lots more colour and neutral pallets than previous years. However there were quite allot of disappointing dresses too, which you will be able to kind of guess by the stars that haven't made the cut in this list.
Olivia Wilde wore a gorgeous Marchesa dress. This was the only over the top dress on that carpet and it worked. The gradually fading sparkle is just magical.
Clare Danes wins the minimalism award. This Calvin Klein dress is stunning and the colour is so Spring/Summer 2011. She looks like spring already.
Another genius Calvin Klein creation and Emma Stone looks amazing in it. The peach colour is just gorgeous and accessorized with just a simple gold clutch is perfection.

At first I didn't recognise Sandra Bullock through that fringe! But it looks great on her and the simple but detailed nude dress is just stunning on her.
Rachel Zoe just can't go wrong with Anne Hathaway matched up with a gorgeous Armani Prive gown. Again simple, with and edge but oh so glamorous.
Angelina, another simple but oh so glamorous moment. It did look allot like Anne's gown but who cares it was green and fierce, Versace did an amazing job.
The Welsh beauty Kathrine Zeta-Jones looked absolutely breathtaking in this emerald green gown by Monique Lhuillier. Elegant, glamorous, beautiful, no words...
Last but not least Eva Longoria. She looked so sophisticated in this minimalistic black Zac Posen gown. Fitted her like a glove and made her the creme de la creme of the red carpet.
